CUESPORTS TEEN GAMES 2009

quarter-finals

TEAM TITANS 2 was our opponent for this round and we had info that they had strong players and there's a guy who can clear the table! omg lorr when we heard this. BUT i hope that i can face him in the match >.< haha. i love to play with the strongest player of the opponent's team cause i think i can perform well =)

line-up: 1. Garheng
2. Huixian
3. Junwen
4. Esther
5. Alvin

we calculated that the guy will either be the second or third player so we planned our line-up in a way that either huixian or me will face the can-clear-table guy to increase our chance of winning cause i have the confidence that i have a chance to win the guy. we put alvin as the last player
just in case two out of four of our players lost. but we received news that they dont have fifth player which means alvin wont be playing and we were shocked ! but the good thing is we just have to win two matches and we are in =) Garheng nearly lost but luckily he got the stress last min and managed to win (he can only win under stress) Huixian won too as the guy kept fouling.

semi-finals

we were against TEAM CHUA which comprises of ahbengs. we knew early that they only have 4 players so we were able to plan our line-up. actually there's no need to plan as they opened 4 tables at one go as it was quite late.

i hate the 4-at-one-go thing as we cant have the team support as all of us will be playing at the same time. we were managed to advance to far bcox of our team spirit where all of us will cheer for each other. Garheng was against their strongest player and he lost due to luck,not skill. He nearly cleared the table but missed the 9-ball thus lost the first match. (it's a race to 2 format) The opponent golden break-ed for the second match ! Garheng and i were unsatisfied with the loss as he was purely unlucky.

i guess i hate myself alot after my match. i lost due to a few factors; firstly, i was affected by the other tables as all matched were going on at the same time. secondly, i haven adjust myself yet as i only wanted to play with the white-shirt guy. thirdly, i was over-confident and fourthly, that guy was quite good as his placing is super accurate. i lost 2-nil to the guy which caused me to be really very sad. i thought i could have won that match. sigh...

Esther played against the white-shirt guy and she won the first match as the guy underestimated her. haha. and he was being called a gu niang when he lost. that was quite humiliating for ahbengs. haha. and since garheng and i lost, esther and alvin had to win their games and while esther was going to hit the 9-ball for the second match, alvin lost to his opponent due to the opponent's tyconess! alvin was totally shocked as the guy just won purely due to strength.

our team lost in such an unfair way larr! sigh.. we really could have won the game and proceed to the finals lorr. sigh..

but the good thing is PJ still got the champion as chunyi's team managed to win the ahbengs =D cuesports will become a merit sport next year ! and TEAM AFFINITY is one of the top 3 teams in pj, together with the two league teams! =D i m so proud of this team!!

SIDENOTE: nobody pins high hopes on us even coach. all of them were surprised when we turned up on fri. BUT we proved all of them wrong! HAHAHA!! =D
